I like the thought of fixing it in place with out using screws, o was even thinking about drilling a few holes and use pop-nuts and then actually using a anodized button head bolts... still undecided! I would be interested in where people bought there ply lining kits if they didn't make them their selves
Re: Which Deadening, insulation, carpet etc?
I did wonder if it would be something like this. Will definitely be trying this method! ThankyouCaddyluv wrote: ↑Wed Aug 01, 2018 11:28 am You can hide the screws. So counter sink your ply. Carpet it. Then cut a tiny hole for the screws to fit glue the top of the screw the screw in, pull back where you have made the slit screw in tight then put the little slit carpet back together. Hidden screws

Just wondering how many sheets of Silent coat people have used to do their floors, roof, doors and sides?
I need to order some for my maxi but am unsure how much to buy.

40 sheets covered my SWB and I used a different but more heavy duty sound deadening for the floor

I must of done something wrong i used 40 sheets on the floor roof and the top half of both side and the back doors.
I've still got the lower half of both sides the wheel arches and the front doors to do. Then theres that close cell stuff to layer over the top on the sides and roof. Then it should be silent inside and bass should be nice and tight. Ready for camping and a decent film played off the laptop through the sound system

40 sheets only did the sides and roof for me and I used different insulation for the floor. It definitely makes the van a nice place to be in while camping!
