12v dash top fuse

Post by gramin »

My 2017 mk4 caddy has a 12v socket in the storage box on top of the dash.
The power was there running my dashcam yesterday but now seems to have blown a fuse the dashcam still works in the cigarette lighter in the console so not a dashcam problem .
Does anybody know where the fuse located for this outlet?
It is not in the fusebox under the steering wheel and it is not in the main fusebox in the engine bay.

Thank you in advance

I would test it first with a multimeter to make sure that there is or is not a 12 volt dc supply before looking for blown fuses. I can't see a dashcam blowing a fuse as its probably not a heavy load unless your wiring to your dashcam has shorted out which will defo blow the fuse.

Thank you bionicman. Cam works on cigarette lighter socket in front of gear shift and works fine on the socket at the back of the console and works on the socket in the 3rd row seat area. The only dead socket is the dashtop socket.
I had already checked all of these before trying to locate the fuse.
