Depends on what you want. The way i did mine was off the main rear light. You solder the wires to it and then they come on when you open the doors or you switch the lights on. Caddyluv did a great piece on his build.

I've ordered some 3w downlight touch dimmers, i'll let you know what they're like once fitted.

A cheap led strip light tapped off the standard light. Really bright though, so it's probably not one to be looking up at before bed if you're doing a camper.
Sorry chaps, much as our 2k looks nice, I prefer my Mk2. ;)

Trial fitted and tested. they provide plenty of light and the ability to dim them is great. Alternatively, you could buy the 2w non-dimmable version and use a dimmer switch to control a group of lights but i like the fact i can control them individually. I've got two chrome for the van ceiling and two black for the tailgate, i'll post a picture later. Only thing i'm not happy with is the black powder coating - easily scratches off.

Would be good to see some pictures, ive just bought some from Ebay but I think I would prefer to have the option to dim them for camping. I like the styling of those too!

Think it’s clever they are dimmable. Good idea.
