Sounds like u are well on mate.
I am hoping to have mine running in the next two weeks. I have to still remove the old pully from my bls engine and swap it over.
Fab a plate to fit the egr cooler.
Got any update pictures of yours ?

Novakid It’s taken a little longer than I wanted but with running a business and being a dad it’s hard to get any spare to get it done quicker but I’m nearly there now shouldn’t take long to do the rest of the bits then im going to look at the bodywork then needs some tlc.

I really like the look of yours I think you’ve got the same front end as mine but mine needs lowering again lol

Cheers mate, she is a looker but need to address body work issues also.
Yeah think the front is the same I just pulled my bumper apart and lined it all up again.

Tell me about it kids are still on holiday so hard to find time.

Novakid mine desperately needs relining up it looks terrible at the minute with the amount of times it’s been on and off haha.

Yeh your front bumpers been smoothed looks really good.

I know the only good thing for the kids holidays is the roads are quiet haha the wife’s entertaining them each day until I get home from work lol

Adie fingers crossed mate hopefully it’s a simple case of just replacing the seals then your back on your way.

There’s some very nice front ends on the caddy’s I’ve been toying with cutting a gti and touran bumper to make something custom but we shall see

There’s so many things you can do to these vans lol plenty of cutting, plastic welding and filling and sanding to be done haha.
I do like the r32 look on the rear but pretty much everyone does that so I’m looking into something else I’ve even looked at the rsQ3 rear making that work.

Engine wise I’m done just the turbo pipes to fit once I get a day without rain ️. Bodywork needs some tlc then fit the rear seats and new coil overs I should be done then for a while until I see something else on here haha

Is the 55mm your top strut mounts?

That’s it I don’t think I’ve seen anyone with it I’ve always liked unique custom stuff that not everyone can just buy off the shelf there is a company online that make customer body kits for the caddy’s and they look pretty decent.

The 55 mm is the diameter of the strut that goes into the hub there are 2 sizes 50mm and 55mm on the caddys

Im the same i like custom stuff especially if i can make it myself
Im planning on carbon fibre skining most of my interior as well
Got loads of plans for my van they never end haha
I want some 3sdm wheels as well need to win the lottery at this rate

Sorted least you know I’ve got to remeasure mine as I can’t remember what size they are but no big deal

Definitely I’m pretty handy when it comes to this kinds of stuff from the years of fixing my mates bumpers in the big racer days haha I’ll plan it all properly first before i go steaming in cutting stuff up haha.

100% mate you can spend a fortune on them as you say to yourself right I’m done with the mods now then you see someone else on here has done something which makes you want to do the same haha

I had a bmw m3 e46 csl edition which was an absolute rocket had 450bhp and I was going to supercharge it until I got caught by traffic police for .5 of a second or something stupid like that going pretty quick enough to lose license the lot lol so I decided to get rid before I ended up dead or police confiscated live and learn so now I’ve got the caddy a lot lower power but still just as fun haha
