Tyre advice for a newbie please

Post by 123stevevw »

So I've recently bought my first Caddy, coilovers arrived today and I'm about to order some new 19 inch wheels which are 8.5J et45. What tyre would people recommend? I want to go pretty low but don't want any rubbing. Should I be looking at 235/35/19 or 225/35/19??? Obviously want to avoid issues with the sliding door too

I've got 235/35R19 all round on 8.5j ET45 on my caddy.
It's SWB 2013, the narrower of the two rear beams.
I don't have any rubbing issues.

Iv got 235/40/18’s on a lwb and no issues with the side door. The guy on the phone assured me they wouldn’t fit but I assured him they would 👍🏻

My 19s arrived today. Was advised to go 235/35 R19on the tyres as I want to get some coilovers fitted as well. Can’t properly fit them for a couple of weeks but couldn’t resist and tried 2 on today and they look superb.
Sliding door clears the wheel...just ....and they’re slightly proud of the wheel arch but that adds to the look.
Really happy with them
