Auto headlights not coming on

I got my new 2018 van the other day and it has auto lights.

i have turned the light switch to the auto position, but the lights never came on this morning in the dark.

Do they need to be reset somehow?

I'd bring it back to VW, any failures this early in life should be rectified under warranty. I wouldn't go clearing faults or messing with coding incase they might try and point the finger at something you've done.

Just wanted to check that before i mentioned it wasn't working, that i hadn't done something silly myself i.e not flicked the headlight switch or something

There's nothing other than the light switch to Auto that the driver has to do. If it's just stopped for no apparent reason it may just need a reset but best leave it to VW incase it's more in-depth.
