Drivers Door Leak

Hi All
My drivers side door doesn’t seem to seal up around the top and lets water in.
Is this common or is it something unique to my van?
Cheers
Andy

Happens on mine, fitted wind deflectors hoping it would help but still get the odd drip now and then.
The problem is the drip lands bang on the window switches which have been replaced already, the shop where I bought the deflectors from seems to think it's a common problem

Has the door dropped?
The top hinge does have a tendency to wear and leaves the back of the door dropping quite low.
This would open up the top seal and allow what you describe.

I have the same issue which drives me nuts. I thought the door just needed bent back into shape but not had the time to look at it further yet

Common on the T5/T6 vans I believe, not heard about it happening too often on Caddys though?

I’ll have a look when I’m home and see if there’s anything obvious out of line etc.

I had this issue. The outer seal on the top of the door looked ok but on closer inspection I could see a 1mm gap. Put the window down and gave the door a tug at the top with my knee on the area near where the door card starts. No more leak.

I noticed there were drops of water on the top of the door frame on both sides today when I got in the van. It's a 2016 surely the seals haven't gone? Or is it a misalignment problem with the doors?

This is exactly what made me suspect the leak was coming from the top of the door. Left the van out over night in heavy rain and water had gathered in the footwell. I could see a visual trail of water, door top, top of doorcard, down the door card, inner plastic sill trim, footwell liner.
With the door closed check the gap between the outer seal on top of the window frame to body. My gap was about 1mm.

I’m going to play about with the bottom hinge bracket this week and see if I can lift up the rear edge of the door rather than trying to bend it.

I had a leak but discovered it was not from the door it was leaking through the roof, the seals on the roof rack were perished, so roof rack gone & new gromets in, no more puddles on the floor 👍🤣
