Can you post the part number, and maybe the width (I think 17"x6.5?) etc - all stamped on the front face usually.

You probably won't want spacers on, as they'll poke out a little bit anyway - they also come in ET50, and yours will already be 12mm more pokey than them.

Thanks :D

They are Alcar model 9787, I think more commonly found on the Merc GLA. Equivalent of Merc part number A1564000000

They stick out about 12mm more than the (optional? maxi?) 16"x6.5" caddy steel wheels, so are a bit more flush looking. They're a pretty good offset for that.

With spigot rings, they should be a direct fit. I *think* you can use the standard caddy wheel bolts - just check the radius is correct for the wheels, and torque them properly.

I have a "thing" for steels...

These are a slightly different style 17x7 ET45, with 215/50R17 (a little taller than normal, but my Touran is slightly lifted):

your 6.5 ET38's should stick out about 1mm more 8) You'll probably want a 205/50R17 for "correct" sizing.

Make sure to post a pic of them fitted!!!

Oh yeah, there is a direct fit VW wheel for the Tiguan too (without spigot rings)... same dimensions as yours, but they seem very rare. Also very expensive from VW (here in NZ anyway) - nearly double what the Mercedes Dealer chares for the Vito ET50 steels!

HAHAHA! I have to remember that one.

Me and my best mate have a deal - which ever one of us lasts the longest has to clean out the others garage: keep what you want, and sell the rest for what it's worth, NOT what we told them we paid for the stuff
