Sun visor lights

Post by james400 »

Has anyone fitted any sun visor lights the ones where you slide the trim from over the mirror and the light comes on?

touran have them standard so maybe be worth finding one in a scrapyard and see if you can follow the wiring down to the cecm or if you have a bcm maybe doc might be able to help with pin locations to be able to wire them up.

They are also fitted to Highline vans
As far as I can see there isn’t a BCM output for theses. All the interior lights are tapped from the same fuse. I’d just tap into the permanent live and earth at the light, there is a switch in the sun visor clip as well as the sliding cover over the mirror
Assuming the CECM is the same

52-pin connector -T52b- white-B-

42 - Fuse 46 on fuse holder C -SC46- (Terminal 30P)
t Front interior light -W1-
t Luggage compartment light -W3-
t Glove compartment light -W6-
t Rear interior light -W43-
43 - (Terminal 30G)
t Front interior light -W1-
t Luggage compartment light -W3-
t Glove compartment light -W6-
t Rear interior light -W43-
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is
