MK5 Golf GTI seats into 2007 Caddy

Post by P33l »

I have been offered by a friend some interlagos Mk5 Golf GTI seats from a 3 door that has been turned into a track car. Are these a direct fit to the caddy? I use it for camping alot and need to move & tilt the front seats to provide more leg room so this 3door sliding seat would make my life a million times easier and I do love that tartan pattern.
Thanks
Al

if you get touran bases with the touran bolts they will bolt in if you use caddy bases you have to drill new holes into the bases for two bolts

Thanks for the response. I think I go down the Caddy bases route as I already have them so saves more cost and its not like the caddy seats would be used again.
I will feedback once I have done it.
Thanks

I believe by using the caddy bases the seat will sit lower

Bit lower would be better I think. Is it fairly straight forwards just unbolt and bolt on? I know there are two holes that need drilling but other than that anything else I need to know?
Thanks in advance

if you go touran bases so long as you have the 4 bolts from either the golf or the touran for the seats to the base then its all bolt in as the caddy has smaller diameter bolts i believe. but if you use the caddy base then its two front bolts bolt straight in then drill for the rears i believe then use a nut and bolt per side. but touran bases require no drilling
