Cheers guys

The sunstrip was just a cheap eBay special. It was about a fiver.

How is the sun strip holding up? Been advised by my local wrapper that an outside sunstrip is 'better' as it's easier to do.. although I'm wary of how it'll hold up.

When removing the parrot kit that was installed by the previous owner I found this glorious hole in my dash.

The sun strip needs replacing once a year ish. Could probably keep it on longer but the corners come up after many blasts with the pressure washer. It was less than a tenner and it bugs me when it happens so why not. If you wash it by hand or more carefully it will probably eliminate the corners peeling but I’m too lazy and let the local car wash blokes do it.

The radio was eBay and no it’s not dab but it is CarPlay so I just downloaded a radio app and it works through the radio. Works as factory too with the steering controls. Just plug and play. Was £160 and it’s worked flawlessly.

Sunglasses holder was again eBay. Looks good but complete waste of time and money. Does not shut once you put sunglasses inside them.

While I’m here I may as well post a more recent picture.

Before and after the mirror change and steering wheel change. Image

Yeah you need the module to go with it. It was a bit of a minefield that I couldn’t get my head around. I was lucky enough to buy a complete set of wheel, stalks and module together from sean1066 a while ago. Then had to get them all coded

I love the build it looks amazing compared to my one stock on. But the first thing I did to mine was the rcd330 with CarPlay it’s so handy.
