Hoping for some help here.. I have just had 4 injectors replaced on a 1.6.. all coded in etc engine run smoothly on all 4 or seemed alot better that ..
However there was a strange intermittent tick/click noise on the overun when letting of the throttle and considerably noticeable when turning engine off t.. we then noticed that the oil light started to flash.. grrrr..
I'm wondering if they have seated properly, but I would of thought the noise would be a constant noise.
Only thing I can admit to was it was late in the day and I 're used the stretch bolts, not being cheap but just wanted to get it done. Could this be the issue?
I would upload a video if I know how to lol.

Re using the stretch bolts is a no no mate. Can’t say for sure if that’s causing your problem but you need new ones.
If I remember rightly, they should be torqued to 7nm plus 1/4 turn. Double check that though as I’m not 100% sure.
New injectors can sometimes be a little noisy even when coded correctly, this should disappear after 100 or so miles though.
Hope you get it sorted mate

By the book its defo new clamp bolts required and first tighten up to a maximum of 1 to 2 Nm then after the high pressure lines have been fitted a final tighten of 8 Nm plus half a turn (180 degrees).

Vw state that injector bolts should be torqued to 8nm then 270 degrees which is 3/4 of a turn.

When i replaced my injectors i had to have the seating re-cut on one of them, I was getting blowback.

Re: STRANGE NOISE AFTER NEW INJECTORS HELP PLEAS3
The tick/click noise is because the injectors are new and they they will get quit after about 50-100km of driving but you should always use new clampbolts.
They are stretch bolts and once they have been used they are no stretch left in them an can snap.
Change them to new ones ASAP.

Re: STRANGE NOISE AFTER NEW INJECTORS HELP PLEAS3
Defo get the bolts torqued and new ones! two of my injectors blew out after the bolt came out at 120km/hr! Common problem with these bolts according to a mechanic i know. I didn't go near the injectors and the van has only 70.000km on it . The cheap plastic fuel return pipe clip made it leak too after getting it all fixed causing more diesel to go everywhere . Cost me a good few bucks as the bolt had snapped in the head !
