Re: Wheel max width
Just found a nice set of A3 rims that are 18x7.5J with an offset of 51. Think I’m going to go for them. Only question now is getting rid of the steelies, they’ve got 4 pretty new tyres on so I’d like to see a little bit of money back, anyone got any suggestions or is it an eBay job?

Re: Wheel max width
Just put the 8J ET35s on so thought I'd update in case anyone needs to know in future. It just catches on the door but only about an inch off being fully open anyway so no big deal. Poke a bit at the front but still look nice imo

Well aware it needs lowering (I'll get there) but reckon it looks nice as is

Looks nice mat
Once it’s lowered I don’t think the poke will look as bad, will look more flush
Similar colour to mine mate

Hi,
Great colour and it sits really nice. what size wheels, Tyers and offset are you running? Have you had any problems with the wheels ever catching.
Cheers.

Re: Wheel max width
Many thanks for that.
I was hopping you were going to say that you had an offset of 42 with no problems, as the wheels I have chosen only do an offset of 42, but it does sound like I might just about get away with 42......

Wheel max width
The mk4 2.0tdi runs a 10mm wider back axel so an ET432 will be 3mm further out
Tyre for 8.5j is 225/35
If you have the wider axel along with a wider offset and a wider tyre I’d say your going to have issues
Rubbing etc
Sliding door not opening

Re: Wheel max width
Many thanks both,
It is a MK4 2.0 and I am hoping to lower it with ST Coilovers. I have seen other vans with these wheels on them, but that's not to say they don't catch or had to make any mods to fit the wheels. It does sound like I could have problems then with 8.5j x 19" ET42 and with a 235 x 35 x 19 tyre and lowered too!!

Re: Wheel max width
Yeh mines a 2016 mk4 2.0
You don’t need 235/35
You need 225 /35
