Which wheels

Post by Lexidog » Sun May 05, 2019 7:30 pm

I want to fit alloys to my 2007 caddy
I know you can fit 19 inch but I still need to use the van now and again to carry my work tools and camping equipment so would it be better to go for 17 inch to allow more tyre height and carry the weight without making the ride very harsh

Thanks

Iv got 18s on mine pal with not a average profile tyre on and still gets used as a van has engines and all sorts thrown in back and doesn’t hurt it. But it’s not lowered yet and isn’t for that exact reason.

Keep toying with idea just scared it’ll stop it being a useable van

From what I’ve read on here and what doc has said it shouldn’t stop you from using it as a van when lowered.
I want to get mine lowered too and personally I think it looks better when lowered.

@Damo2k

I really like the wheels you have. Can you tell me which they are?

I’ve got genuine 19” Santiago’s on mine. Powder coated them as was fed up of the diamond cut. Dropped the suspension, I use it as a daily and it’s bang on.
Corners great, smooth handling not uncomfortable to run at all.

As far as I know the mk4 bumper is a direct fit to the mk3 ImageImage

18"s with H&R 60mm front and axle flip to the rear, did not want any lower as it is a daily ride for work, never really loaded at the rear as just stepladders and basic tools.
