I'd hope you'd do both when you have the box off! :D
Go mad fella, bolt on a bigger turbo while your at it and embarrass a few petrol heads!

Gearbox FML or ERF are both 6 speed used on 2003 on PD engines, ERF is the one Mylo went with but the FML I think was found on a lot more.
I'm gonna do a bit more research tomorrow, see what I can dig up.
Anyone know if a DSG box can be retrofitted? :?

Might as well go with a big hybrid blower, no point half doin it.
You'll need a injector nozzle upgrade also to get the full benefit of the bigger turbo.
Then the intercooler and exhaust will be the only thing keepin your power below 200BHP.
I've no problem spending other peoples money! :D

any turbo off a 1.9 tdi will fit (not passat or a4 ones) look for 130pd ones (looking around 180bhp ish max) and the 150pd one will hit around 200bhp (clutch and flywheel will be the only things stopping you there)
unless you have lots of money to burn I wouldn't bother with the hybrid

injectors are in the head and would need to be changed for the turbo (head off job) but will help you hit 200bhp
Standard intercooler is good for around 220ish bhp
if the turbo is changed you have to change the downpipe/mod it to get it to fit (which is the most restrictive part any way)
105 tdi with GTB2260 power around 280bhp/405lbft

If it happens when your cruising along then most likely its a driveshaft check your CV boots also have you had them replaced?? as you may have caught them to late and the shafts will be goosed.

Could be crap on the flywheel if you tootle about a lot? Try, from a standing start, booting it all the way through the gears. This will clear any rubbish off the flywheel.
