Mate of mine got one 2nd hand think its a 2005.
He doesnt like it though, too hard to just nip in the back door to get something out and it also stops you getting a forklift in to load up.
They are like rocking horse poop!

I've been ringing around for a new black 104 with a tailgate and it seems there aren't any available for immediate delivery which is a shame. I'd found a black with barndoors and was dead set on that until I saw this!!!!

This is a mate's old Caddy with Tailgate , was a nice looking motor. They are rare enough alrite

Well @Ray, Eanna here (caddy power on vagdrivers). How is the roof rack supported on your mate's old caddy. Is it stuck on or are those the points you screw into. The points on my d/door model are much closer together. I had savage trouble fitting my roof rack because of it...

They look good but you cant work with it, there is one in Aberdeen with elec pack in dark grey for 6k

They look a better job alright with the tailgate.Should have a lot more visiablity out the back to. Sorry i never asked about it when i order mine

I think they look awesome. But there are 2 downsides:

You would have to stoop to get under the tailgaste when lowered on Coilovers and secondly I couldn't find a spoiler that would fit.................

I get my 67 plate with a tailgate next week will just the job for getting fishing gear in and out the van when raining

My 2013 ex-wheelchair caddy has a tailgate. I was worried about it when I first got it but so far it hasn't proved to be a problem at all. Doesn't have a roof rack though...

I mean, sure, if it was seriously slammed, and I mean scraping the paint off the road slammed, you might struggle, but I am 6'1" and on the lowered Caddys I have been looking at, it was not a problem.

Of course, YMMV and you might be a tad taller, but I did not see it as a problem to get into the back without risking a concussion.

Also seen some nice, deep spoilerage that works with the tailgate. Will be getting something on my Caddy when I can actually find one that ticks enough boxes to buy!

This is my new (to me, obs) 2009 Maxi. I've got about 4" clearance walking under the tailgate (I'm 6 foot in boots). Keep getting the "pull down" strap in the face though, I might cable-tie it up out of the way. 3 roof bars mounted in factory position - the long ladder just fits without catching the tailgate when open.
