Re: What did you do to your van today?
The Subwoofer is a Phoenix Gold Z8150 active unit. Should be around £150.00 - £180.00 from authorised agents.
Great sounds, probably one of the best sounding slimline subs I fit for the money.

Caddy 4 150 DSG Viper Green, AirLift Performance, Alltrack Body Kit, 19" SPF Rotiforms & 20" Vossen CVT, 5 seat conversion, full interior re-trim in Napa & Alcantara with green stitching and a sprinkling of Custom Car Audio.

Picked it up in the dark so as soon as it's daylight I'll take some! Looks good though kinda wish I'd got the door strips done but that's for another day.dipstr wrote:Pics please

Where did you get the side repeaters from? T5 or T6?
I got some smoked side repeaters the other week (non oem) and they were useless, first rubbish thing I have purchased for the caddy off the net.

I used these ones:
7E0949101D9B9 - Left (black)
7E0949102D9B9 - Right (black)
I got them from a VW dealership. You need to cut the clip off the one end and grind away some of the plastic. You can then use "badge tape" to stick them on. I used the original bulb holder but swapped out the original clear bulb with the orange one that comes with the new part.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Decided I'm sick of working on it in the cold, so it's in the nearest VAG independent for service, MOT, cruise and MFSW.
Nearly bought some 16" 7.5" ET35 alloys, but forum searches were inconclusive on whether the sliding doors would clear or not.
Going to try to leave it alone for a while now and get back to my bikes.

Taken off my old chrome bumper protector and swapped it for a lovely new one that’s been in my shed for months.
Also made a boot floor mat to save the carpeting.

I take it you’ve installed it behind the seat then barbel?? Have you had to secure it to the floor with some kind of bracket??Barbel330 wrote:It was £120 for the sub mate. I had a local audio shop (Impulse in Watford) fit it along with the Hertz components. Yes it's active and just runs off the rns510 headunit.
It's pretty damn amazing how hard that little 8" sub kicks with it being so compact. It has the little remote bass gain adjustment knob hidden in the glovebox too. Very pleased with it!

Might be a good time to do a upgrade to a t5 angled one.

Yeah behind the passenger seat tucked into the little void. It's secured with Velcro, ain't going anywhere. The bass gain remote is neatly installed inside the glovebox. Spent a few hours driving today so had plenty of opportunity to give it a good test, very very impressed with it. Amazing how such a small unit can pump out that kind of bass.Maverick58 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 7:27 pm I take it you’ve installed it behind the seat then barbel?? Think he's talking about the rear T5 angled arm, and you're talking about your front mechanism?

Re: What did you do to your van today?
That’s music to my ears dude!!! I don’t have space in the rear for a 10/12 inch boom box so this sounds like the perfect accompaniment to my Phoenix gold set up already filling the F&R. Thanks for that matey, lush van btw.Barbel330 wrote: Yeah behind the passenger seat tucked into the little void. It's secured with Velcro, ain't going anywhere.
