Cracked on with some sound proofing last night, so plenty of cutting and sticking SilentCoat. Didn't bother with photos seeing as it looks basically like all the other ones :D Only managed to do the left hand side but the difference is amazing, really looking forward to what it's like once I've done the big panels on the roof.

Also fitted the armrest I got off ebay that slots straight into the rear cup holders:

The 'leatherette' isn't particularly nice though so I'll possibly try to reupholster it. At the moment I've just stretched some nicer material over it and gaffer taped it underneath. The result isn't quite as bad as it sounds

After fitting a Pioneer headunit last week in place of an RNS, I cut the VW plug off my mic which is in the cabin light and replaced it with a 2.5mm jack plug for the new headunit.

Daft little job, but I'm very glad to get rid of the clip on mic that came with the Pioneer which looks a bit crap.

Ok , got my vcds today from the Bay today , set it up on my old laptop as new one hasn’t got a cd reader , plugged in to bg caddy to have a play , struggled a little with test on start up took a fair few attempts to recognise the usb but got there in the end , hope it remembers this as will be a pain testing every time , thought I would do the windows up and down off the fob , so went into cent convenience and wouldn’t find control unit tried several others and still same, shut it down and tried again and bingo off we went coded it and it works 🤪👍did my very first coding, is there any other simple mods I can do to get me on my way because I have a mfsw on its way and need to up my courage a bit before tackling that ,
Golf mk6 seats,Touran rear seats,carpet,console,2017 caddy life mfsw,Audi s3air vents, passsat w8 interior light, golf mk6gttdi wheels, rear barn door spoiler , rns 510 head unit , revers camera, boarded and carpeted rear with led strip lights, mk4 rear lights .

Swapped out one of the British Gas aerials for a dab aerial in my tea break. Just had to open up the hole to 20mm with a cone cutter. Next job is to route the cables to the head unit..

Just dropped a grand at the local VW specialists. I'd taken it in to have a new injector but when I pulled up the coolant light came on and a puddle was growing under the van as the water pump gave way in a big way so while it's there new cambelt and pulleys too....gutted

Inspired by a few others on here, I hit my headliner with a litre of Autobrite Direct's fabric dye.

Image

As you can see it was a bit grubby but a lovely shade of very dark grey(almost black) now.

Yes, my lawn does not have a silhouette of the headliner which my Mrs is not best pleased about. Image

Never mind the silhouette, it looks parched bud haha.

Headliner looks good though. You’ll find you need to do the rest of the upper plastics dark, that is if you haven’t already done them.
