Thanks. There’s a guide on here with someone using a hairdryer but I’ve done 2 sets now and after speaking to people the oven is the way to go. 5mins at 100 degrees.

you can always take a bit more off. You should have seen me fitting 6mm Birch without templatesYeti wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 9:33 am I carried on with the false floor I'm building. Got a bit grumpy at one stage while we were playing "Does it fit? No, take it back out for the 10th time and trim a bit more off". Just got the front section to do, then I'll put the mat on it and post some pictures.
Look froward to seeing it finished
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Makes me think of my shop fitting days. We were installing some high end display kitchens. There was a bit of worktop that was worth a few grand. I swear everyone on the job measured it 3 times before someone had the balls to cut it
This false floor has been an organic design from the start (partly because all the timber came out of a skip), I've got the back half just about perfect for our needs, still haven't a clue what the front half is going to look like

Sorry chaps, much as our 2k looks nice, I prefer my Mk2.

I’ve thought many times about doing a false floor and sorting out racking and storage solutions but not got round to doing it.
Either too busy at work or got too much stuff in the back.
Be great to see yours once done.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Wet sanded my project headlights today to get the stone chips out. I pushed it by using a 600 grit to start with so wasn’t sure about what outcome I’d have but am happy with the results. There’s some very faint scratches in places which should fill in with wax and they look loads better than before!
