If you have A/C, you should have fitted a grey filter with "activated charcoal coating".

Cool, no problems there then.
I've just heard people comment on how "dirty" their filter was shortly after having a new one fitted, only to find out it was the grey charcoal finish being confused for dirt.

Good luck with the sound deadening mate, can't help you with your questions as I've not done mine yet. But I'd be interested to hear how you get on and see some pics as its one of my next jobs.

Becaurfull with cam sensors i ended up buying 3 before it solved mine 1st one mid price from camberly auto factors faulty
1 from german swedish top end one faulty
Ended up changing ecu no better needed change this for 6 speed conversion anyway
Ended up buying and ociliscope meter and a cheap sensor of ebay ociliscope showed the sensor breaking down then working then breaking down changed to cheap ebay job vans been brand new ever since
Oh i also stripped the entire wireing loom down for damaged cables
Have you read it with vagcom yet would get it scanned before replacing stuff
And defo buy an ociliscope if u change sensor and it dont fix it befor waisting all the time i did
So, today and yeasterday I installed; sound proofing, insulation in places and carpet. It's scary before you get going but I just jumped in both feet and I'm really pleased with the final result

Did some coding on mine today, disabled the cornering lights as i hate them, set the alarm to chirp on locking and tried to enable the digital speedo in the MFD but no joy its locked out in the 2017 I think.
Been travelling around the last few days picking up various parts for my £500 money pit (why didn't I buy a better one )
Swapped one seat over and found both lower seat mounts are rusty
Cleaned a few trim panels and the headlining with some amazing stuff called G101

I think it may need injectors though
Going to service it and replace the gearbox mounts tomorrow, see if it stops the rough idle, hasn't had a fuel filter for years
