Re: What did you do to your van today?
Replaced the broken latch on sliding door window.
The part was for a T5 but the plastic butterfly bit was exactly the same. The rods and trim would have been too long so I reused the originals.
Here's the bit I used.

Starting small. Next I have to sort out the centre console which must have a bit of a kicking before I bought the van. Any advice gratefully received....

Maxi Caddy Life, 2.0l TDi, 2013 (not exciting, yet)
It's good to be back in a van!

Fixed the boost leak caused by the worn tabs on one of the pipes.
Made a bigger boost leak whilst chasing a BMW for diagnostic purposes
Bodged the crap outlet on the intercooler back up and started looking at front mounts.

Sorry chaps, much as our 2k looks nice, I prefer my Mk2.

I removed the ugly rear wiper and installed the cover.

We had a painter do a bit of bodywork.
Specifically, a painter and decorator, and his panel hammer was a Berlingo.

Insurance. I'll be pushing for a repair, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets written off. End of the day, in their eyes, it's a 54-plate with a billion miles on the clock.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Don't get me wrong, 10 years ago, I'd have gone f'n nuts about it. Since then, I've been in an accident that I had no right to walk away from, and as you get older, stuff bothers you less.
All that really matters is no one really got hurt, anything else'll sort. Worst case, the business can afford to buy a new van, I'll buy it off the insurance, take a mallet to it and keep it for my own.
