Get a cheap trim tool kit off eBay, will make it loads easier. You pry the first part of the clip out and it releases the main body of the clip from the carCelticrsmith wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 2:45 pm Yes it was a standard one. They looked like the corners would've snapped if I'd pulled it too hard. I may carpet it one day now I know they just pop out.
What did you do to your van today?

Seriously?! Get some piccies up mate!! Well done too. Shame you're not 7ft tall lolPhilfab wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 4:59 pm Today i fitted some new (to me) seats.
Story is: Down the road theres a family that have a pair of lovely Audi RS3's. they're forever cleaning and changing bits.
So while walking past with the dog i notice theres a pair of seats on the lawn, quick knock on the door, Seats are now mine and free.
So put them into today, however, they match up with the floor pan bolt holes perfectly but not the original seat frames.
Not even the front bolt holes match so no chance of breaking the drill out for the rear either.
This weekend will be spent with a grinder and a welder making some slight adjustments,
Currently driving around barley able to see over the steering wheel.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Couldn't find them there, but did a little bit of sleuthing on the net. Eventually found a photo of one on a T6 forum and loaded it into the computer, said "enhance", squinted a bit and got the part number. From there could get the others:
7E0949101D9B9 - Left (black)
7E0949102D9B9 - Right (black)
7E0949101A - Left (chrome)
7E0949102A - Right (chrome)
Happy to modify lights, but the car not so much. Thanks for the tip!

I know right, im 6ft, the bulkheads removed too and yet it is low.Celticrsmith wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 7:00 pm Seriously?! Get some piccies up mate!! Well done too. Shame you're not 7ft tall lol
The seats themselves have the height adjust and are at max. They also have electric adjustments but will wire them in once im happy with the height.
Will put pics up over the weekend.

So the same you think then. Just will stop better. You know your fly through the windscreen just pulling up to the traffic lights.

I thought the r32 ones looked big when they arrived, they will look ace when on. What’s the minimum wheel size for them?

Was this a straight fit mate? And what year was your caddy?Sandyson wrote:RyanG I ordered this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201980647835 it’s been brilliant works with the rear parking sensors etc. Only trouble is I already had a Bluetooth module installed and the head unit has one built it so I have two at the moment need to disable the module.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Mines a 2012 so a facelift model. Yep pop the surround off take 4 torx screws out lift up the little release for the quad lock, then just swap the units. The adapter for the Ariel was slightly wrong as the clips weren’t needed so I trimmed them off to make it all connect up. I think the whole thing took 20 mins. They sell it as compatible with older models but say it may need a canbus gateaway update. Works well with my 2012 van.
