Rear cargo floor panel to expose rear footwells

Post by Denners »

Hi all, I've recently purchased a 06 caddy which has had the rear footwells exposed for a bench seat in the rear on quick releases. My caddy has been bought for work/fishing/dog walking purposes and I'd like to re-fit the panel that a previous owner had removed but I am struggling to locate one from a breaker for a sensible price!
Is there anyone one here who has removed theirs and interested in selling?
Here's a pic of the un-slightly rear as she is

Any help would be great :)

Unfortunately when we remove them they get pretty damaged... There spot welded in and sealed... Once the welds are drilled out its usually a case of ripping it out a bit like a sardine tin...
You may get one if somebody has been careful enough...

Ah yeah they were my thoughts too. I noticed that they were welded in and look a pig to remove hence the silly prices I've been quoted from breakers. Colour and condition (within reason) I'm not too fussy about as it will be sound deadened and ply lined eventually.

Just make a small wood frame and ply line to the back of your seats

God spot for some extra storage boxes!
Frame it up before ply lining and make two lift up lids in the ply for access.
It's a huge waste of space on the Caddy, I'd love it if I got a van with it already removed.

Great stuff guys! Excellent suggestions.
Loving the thought of storage hatches there I agree it's a waste of space. ATM it gets used for my work boots and coats.
That's brill pal any chance of a picky? I'm on the Isle of Wight so only a rubber ducky away!! :)
What would ya want for it? Cheers

Ok mate sounds good to me. It's a van floor panel at the end of the day so looks are not important.
For a bit of diesel money would you be able to meet me next Saturday at the wightlink ferry terminal? Drop me a text mate on 07926618418 cheers bud

Have you tried the main dealers, may not be as expensive as you think. Plastic parts seen to be more expensive then metal parts sometimes
