Hi all, I have just picked up my first caddy 2k, its a 58 plate tdi 140 6 speed. It's so nice to drive. I've had t4's for years but I needed something smaller and quicker for work.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm thinking of lowering it at some point as you can fit your head in between the wheel arch and the tyre. Any recommendations ?
Thanks Russ

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, has any one had any issues with whistling wind noise from the drivers side door? I thought it was the mirror but it isn't .

Welcome aboard, hope you have deep pockets after signing up to this forum, its modifying a caddy is like a drug, you want more and more and more lol
Usually is the mirrors, from about 35-40mph they start? when it is making the noise open the window, does the noise go away? If not, fold the mirror in, does the noise go away? If not, open the door, does the noise go away? Easiest way to diagnose the fault.

Re: Newbie
I know the deep pocket problem I've had T4's for over 9 years . I don't really want to do much to the caddy to be honest. Wheels are fine but not my preferred choice but better than steels. I will increase the tyre profile to 45's at some point as the roads that I drive to work on are more potholes than tarmac .
I would like to lower it a little bit as it sits a little high with the 18's.
Here is my first deep pocket problem
The caddy trailer was an old work van I had for 4 years.

Re: Newbie
I have tried folding the mirror in and it seemed to of donor the trick so I thought I'd try some sealant in the gap of the mirror but it didn't do the trick. I think it's as if the door needs pulling in at the to. I have wound the window down and given it a bit of a heave but it's still doing my head in.Nickd57 wrote:Welcome aboard, hope you have deep pockets after signing up to this forum, its modifying a caddy is like a drug, you want more and more and more lol
