My Caddy on 20inch wheels and gti mk7 front

Post by hef355 »

Looks quite low although its only marginally lower than the standard van! This has a perfect ride, ground clearance as well as looks!! Builders can have a sports van as well as go on any site or drive with ease over speed bumps! Standard dampers with only Eibach 60mm lowered! ImageImageImageImageImage

Looking good :D
Your caddy sits very nice on 20"s i like that you still have a good gap between the arches.
How do the lower profile tyres cope with the dreaded potholes?
Also i spy with my eagle eye that your fuel cover is missing. Are you still modding ;)

Thanks Tee, really made up with it thanks to the superb work of Simon at Procad! If I'm honest, I've had a range of sports cars (Ferrari's, porches etc .... honestly mate not being knob just stating my excitement level) and transporters over the years and this floats my boat more than anything! I promise ya it rides like a dream and handles as well as I need! Pot holes aren't too bad either with decent tyres. I have 20" on my M3 series so have previous experience on this size! Fuel cap not put on as I took it off to match the paint for the front bumper, well spotted! I am however in the process of modding my other little pure grey gem with Procad (with rare tailgate and 30k) which will have all the above but lowered for shows with KE cool overs and staggered 10 and 8.5 20" wheels .... pics when I get it backImageImage

Looking forward to seeing your pure grey as well . Your going to have 2 amazing caddy's will you be tossing a coin each day to see which you will drive.
I was looking at getting just 17"s for mine as its my daily drive and my bike carrier which seems a bit lame after looking at how well yours looks on 20's.
I spoke to simon he is a sound guy and very helpful. I will be going to see him next week its going to be a great visit :D

Glad you like the vans Tee! They will both have a different look and stance and I'm looking forward to getting the pure grey back from Simon, he will be an asset to the forum and I believe he has finally joined! Tell you what Tee, I have a set of golf GTD 2009 17" wheels that haven't had much use and are in pretty good original condition if they are of interest to you. I think 2 may have tyres on but I haven't looked at them for years. If you're coming down you can have a look mate?

Be nice if your about when i go to visit so we can meet up and i can get to see your caddy's with my own eyes.
Im looking at getting some fox ms007's for my van.i wasn't really looking at putting older version alloys on my 2013 but never say never.
Yeah i will have a look if its not to much hassle for you to dig them out.
Thanks hef :)
I will look up simon on here.

No problem at all Tee, be great to meet you and youre more than welcome to take both vans out to see what you think (assuming Simon will have my pure grey back). The pure grey will have KE coilovers and a massive 10j wide 20" on the back and an 8.5j wide on the front so should look mean! Let me know when your down and what time, all the best Hef

I love the look and so impressed in the difference it makes especially in conjunction with the mirrors!
