Been looking at prices for lowering the caddy and it's not cheap can a caddy look ok without being dropped has anyone got pics? I've got a white prefacelift

Of course but because caddy’s ride so high your just have the big gaps between the wheel and arch. Caddy’s look good any way. But as I said vw set them so high you feel your in a monster truck. But there are many around that look good.

If you're not lowering it I think you need to choose the wheel and tyre combo accordingly. I had 19s on before it was lowered and it just looks weird. Needs lowering a bit when you have large wheels with low profile tyres - doesn't have to be super low just take some of the space between the tyre and the arch.

I haven’t lowered mine yet and as you can see it has a big gap.
It doesn’t look to bad.
But for me I think they look better lowered.

So I think what we are saying is. If you care about the look, lower it. There are cheap options but it’s the labour normally the cost. But you do kinda get what you pay for.

Mine with 17's, standard height, I think it looks ok, would really rather it was lower but don't want to sacrifice the ride!

Yeh they do need lowering got quoted 750 for AP coilovers 🤨

I think the maxi can pull it off tho

The stance+ coilover kit is cheap. Gives a nice ride aswell, not to hard.
How much have you been quoted for the labour for fitting?

Mine is on the standard suspension, but is lowered? It’s a bit crap in all honesty, it bounces all over the place and is far too soft, it’s damaged both front mud flaps on the B roads round here.

No ways I would ever lower mine! As others have said the look is governed by how big the tyre is relative to the rim. This pic is with 15" rims. The original (17") rims look a little bit weird (not so much that I'd do anything about it), although the wheel size (rim + tyre) is exactly the same. I expect the gap has to be the same or smaller than the tyre profile to look "good".
