On my MY11 Caddy Maxi Life, this turned out to be "scalloping" of the tread in around 12,000 km. Mine came with asymmetric tread tyres. Thes need to run at a pressure of at least 40 psi, however the dealer reduced this to 30 - 32 psi. The asymmetric tread sees a lower rolling resistance on the inboard half compared to the outboard half and with low pressures sees the inboard sidewall dragged ever so slightly compared to the outboard sidewall. As a result the tread is squirming and wears like you have excessive toe-in.

My dealer agreed but said they can only sell them new with the tyres VW fit to the cars.

There are plenty of non-asymmetric tyres available.

We have had a lot of problems with budget directional tyres, especially primewell. Try swopping front to back if tyres are different to c if noise goes away.
V2 front. Mk5 mirrors. Cupra splitter. 8000k Hid. Led side lights and drl. Lowered on mk5 coils and custom shackles. Touran carpet, door cards, plastics, glovebox and seat bases. New caddy steering wheel. Midline cluster. Cruise. Heated mk5 gttdi seats wired and working. Alpine screen. 140 remap. Lots of other little bits.........
