How did you fare out with the turbo? Did you make it fit or find one that did?

Turbo is off a BMM/BRM so the exhaust is the same profile and the turbo is cast onto the manifold and a top mount

I'd read about people getting a 140pd turbo and swooping out the cartridge for a 170pd. I can confirm this doesn't work!

So I replaced the 140 cartridge wit a new one (if anything the 140 turbo is going to be a limiting factor) but on discussion with Pendle I'm looking at 180/190 hopefully (plenty fast enough)

Using the 150 injectors keeps everything in its comfort zone rather than running OEM at max.

The turbo fitted spot on was just a bit tight using a braided oil feed hose. Looking back the hard piped one might of fit fine buy hey Ho, braided allows flexibility :)

Nice, I'm thinking you'll be into super MPG with that combination too.
Looking forward to seeing the results.

Don't ask mate!

BRM with a new cartridge (shat itself)
BRM with original cartridge (shat itself)

This was with running a braided line too, issues are either oil pressure or the feed pipe

Before fitting turbo second time disconnected it a started engine looked to plenty of oil flying out

Needless to say mate assisting me won't fit another turbo unless we use a new oil feed pipe

I could put standard caddy turbo on but defeats the object of fitting 150injectors

Who rates better darkside hybrids or xman?

Maybe a complete rebuilt and balanced turbo is needed? I've heard good things from xman turbos but never used before

I go to turbo dynamics and get a hybrid built for the job. I'm aiming for 180 bhp so I had a 360 bearing fitted a billet light weight but larger compressor wheel with a 5 deg cut back on the exhaust wheel.
I had thought about using the 150 turbo but as the std caddy ex wheel is 38 MM and the 150 is 43 MM it would have been laggy and I don't like lag at all.
On the std injectors I'm running max duration of 43 deg so can't get more fuel in with out pushing exhaust temps too high so once I have got all my face lift front end done I will get the 150 injectors I have tested and set up. Then I will fit them and map it my self.

Ken I don't know what this means my turbo knowledge is non existent I'm looking for a bolt on really that just requires a remap to make the van fast as hell

I've messaged Xman he's got a got a hybrid with 52mm billet wheel should be good for 200-210bhp with PD130 injectors (I've read his dint come with actuator n stop screw setup though)

My other avenues of interest are:
Dervtech (emailed them)
Precision turbo services (emailed -but they offer a hybrid with 360deg bearings)
