Re: My new Facelift Caddy
Signed off work for two weeks and cannot drive so getting bored and feeling better lol.
Been out in the garage tonight. Stripped and painted two golf mk4 interior lights.
Finished trimming my bulkhead and cut the holes for the lights. Just need to carpet them now.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
Finished all the front now apart from mounting my amp.
Heated seat switches in centre console.
Carpeted the front of the floor to tidy it up.
Started to carpet the passenger side.
Carpeted both the sides of the bulkhead I trimmed down. Hopefully try to get the other side done tomorrow.

Switches come with the kit. Think it was £90 for two kits.

Do you have a link for the kits at all please? And how much grief were they to fit?

Here a link to the kit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Pairs-Carbo ... 336cc1ceb4
They are straight forward to fit but my Gti seats were a little pain to take apart. Wiring is on 3 wires per kit.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
I think I might have to consider a set of those, it's the only thing I regret not having (but as my mint mk5 GT seats were only £40, beggars can't be choosers!).

On highest setting a minute or so but depends on the seat fabric.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
Got phase one completed on my mirrors as got a pair of second hand Golf mk6 mirrors and a drivers side caddy mirror.
Got it mounted using all the caddy mounts just need to sort out the plastics so it all mates together.
Just need to get a passenger side caddy mirror now so I can convert that.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
1 question on the mirrors mod , u used the caddy bases and swap the mirror bit from the MK6 golf and is a straight bolt on ? no plastic trimming and welding etc as the touran ones ?

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
The mk6 mirror just needs a little adjustment to get it to mount but only took me 30 minutes to get it looking like that. Yes I used the caddy base so there is no modification needed like the Touran mirrors to get it to mount to the caddy. When I get another mirror I will do a step by step of what needs to be modified.
