Re: My new Facelift Caddy
Got quite a bit of sound proofing done but takes a while to get it reasonably smooth so I can cover it in carpet and not show through.
Still got my doors to do when I put my speakers in. Sorted locations for rear speakers.
Did spend most of the day sorting the wiring on my mates splitty. Almost done though.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
To get the air vents to fit I had to use the front off the standard vents. The TT vents are to small to just put in so modified the original fronts so I could fit the TT vents into them. Only took about an hour to fit all four vents.
Built up an iPhone mount in my spare vent (as TT has 5 vents) complete with cable. Connected cable to stereo so charges and controlled by stereo. Pic as it looks now. Will get a better pic tomorrow.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
Managed to finish my iPhone mount this morning.
Installed a mk6 golf gear knob along with new leather gait or with white stitching and matching hand brake cover to match.
Feels a lot better as it sits a good inch lower than the old one.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
Removed all the vent part and got a tube same size as the vent internals then bonded it to the holder.
Been working on it last couple of nights.
Cut out my rear doors a little to make way for speakers as lack of mounting points.
Collected a couple of bits from TPS
Caddy cross tinted rear lights.
Caddy Life dash storage compartment.
LED DRL bulbs all working and no bulb errors. Bright as he'll though.
Cut out my ply panels just need to tidy them up. Carpet and glue ordered. Sound proofing of sides almost done.

Re: My new Facelift Caddy
Got a couple of jobs done down my mates unit.
Sold the Merc wheels and put on my 18" TT wheels with winter tyres.
Cut out and sound proofed my rear door ready for my focal speakers. Added a bit of insulation while I was at it.
Made my rear door panels and installed the speakers. Just got to make a mesh cover and carpet them.
Got my side rail cover and spoiler painted and fitted them after tinting the rear windows.
Quite like the winter wheels as they are a lot closer to the arch than the Merc wheels.
