Autokraft wrote:The mk6 mirror just needs a little adjustment to get it to mount but only took me 30 minutes to get it looking like that. Yes I used the caddy base so there is no modification needed like the Touran mirrors to get it to mount to the caddy. When I get another mirror I will do a step by step of what needs to be modified.

Hi mate, loving your work, the 2 side panels that you have put the lights in,did you cut down a caddy plastic bulk head,or are they the standard door trims that are on the van? :? gilly

I cut down the original bulkhead and now covered them in carpet and look great.

Still got my doors to do when I put my speakers in. Sorted locations for rear speakers.

Did spend most of the day sorting the wiring on my mates splitty. Almost done though.

Nice work on the mirrors...I sat mine up a touch on the mounts as they looked very low when fitted.

Only needs a touch and makes all the difference :D

Got a little bit done today as weather was not to bad.

Removed ply floor and carpeted the edges and covered the top with a industrial Matt.

Need to finish my panels and get them fitted.
Image

Installed my Auto light switch and auto light Chinese module.
Image

I extended the Autolight sensor wiring and removed the cover so I could mount it in the OEM plastic panel.
Image

Also wired in my front fogs off the headlight switch while it was out.
Image

Fitted my matts that I have had for a month or so now.
Image

Can move it out of the drive now and put the golf in the garage ready for stripping.

I wired them the normal way using a relay under the bonnet. I took the headlight switch connector apart and there was one free slot. Put my repair cable in there and used it to activate the relay.
