Ok so after a lot of messing about with DPD losing my parcels twice and having to drive an hour each way to try and find them at their Oldbury depot where I lost the will to live... I finally got my new wheels..

Mercedes Vito 17x6.5 steels in silver with Three A 215-50-17 tyres which allthough a budget are B rated in the wet.. I also ordered some T4 center caps which you would be easy to find but took a while to locate a decent set but as yet to fit these as you need to use the T4 bolts as they are 19mm headed so the caps will stay put.

So with tyres fitted with stick on weights I couldn't wait to fit them, plus after spending the money I needed to prep my old wheels for sale so on they went..

I'm happy with how they sit in the arches and after driving about today can confirm the ride is much better and quieter and tyres seem ok in the wet.. Anyway I will let the photos speak for themselves... ImageImageImageImageImageImage

So I managed to obtain a tow bar for £20 a few weeks back and had a go at fitting it today.
I've never removed a rear bumper before and was caught out by the bolts going through the crash bar into the bumper but found them eventually, I fitted 12mm bolts with nyloc nuts and drill a new hole on the left as it wasn't there, I haven't wired it up yet as I'm no auto electrician and need to find someone who can, I'm still trying to work out where the loom will run as I can't find a route in as yet especially with all the plastics on a life model.
I don't plan on towing anything I just want to be able to fit a tow ball mount bike carrier. ImageImageImageImage

really like what you have done to this. shame about the paint on the bonnet. the side bars you had fitted did you keep them or get rid? just was curious about their measurements as i like the look of them and wouldn't mind getting a pair for my touran after new year.

Very nice Torque777, where abouts did you get the wheels from? I'm sick of 19" alloys at the moment and they need a refurb now.

Wow, just realized I haven't touched my caddy all this time, tbf it just keeps on running with typical vw efficiency lol..
Still done nothing about paint work, but need to change front suspension bushes as the front feels woolly now, will also need to do cambelt in November as it will be 4 years since I fitted the replacement BLS engine

Serviced the caddy this weekend, spax don't look too bad after nearly 5 years, lock rings are stuck at present, but adjustors are working so I turned them up a couple of clicks, undertray was damaged a few weeks ago when visiting a national trust property and I tore a hole in the first skin so trimmed it, tyres are looking good on inner edge after 12 months too, driven caddy and the front suspension is much better firmer, I didn't realize how soft it was as it was set up for 18's with 40 profile and not the 17's with 50 profile.ImageImageImage
