Last July I picked up a TFSI K04 engine for a bargain price, decided to pull the head to check that it was all good, and cleaned the valves as they suffer heavily from carbon build up on the valves.

Did the Touran V2 front end conversion last August. This is where the name Taddy came from. My mates started calling it Taddy as in TouranCaddy and it has stuck.

Then around Christmas time I took the plunge and pulled the engine out.

I had already stripped a MK5 GTi wiring loom apart that I had got hold of previously. I stripped out all the engine electronics, leaving the car loom behind. So I then had to strip the engine parts of the caddy loom and splice in the TFSI loom. This is what took the time in the whole conversion. 90% of time was spent doing the wiring, putting the engine is was pretty straight forward.
Started stripping the caddy loom

Starting to come back together

Almost finished

The van didn't have aircon so I fitted a scirocco heater box and touran aircon pipes and wired in full climate control from the MK5 golf.

Building up a heat shield for the turbo on the bulkhead.

Engine Ready to go in

Engine in

Fuel tank mods

Its up and running now, have given it a couple of test drives. Its running the 2012 Golf R map so is 260bhp, but once I have finished building an intake, building a 3" full exhaust and fitting a high pressure fuel pump it should be good for 370bhp.
