Do the headlamps and wings bolt straight in with no hassle dude?

Love this thing, looks nuts for a 12 year old van!!

Thanks,

I don't even know where to begin...the fact that like you said it's a 12 year old van means it's a 2005 caddy so no in short, the headlamps and wings don't just "bolt straight in with now hassle"
My advice have a read through either mine or another member that has done the facelift on how it's done and what work is involved..

I see now cheers dude

Fair bit of work but looks the dogs. Best save myself some pennies!
How do you find noise from the back without a bulkhead but carpeted?

I don't notice it tbf. I suppose when it's completely empty and I have the carpet liner out and just the rubber liner. You just notice a bit of road noise but it's fine when the normal stuff is in the back. I.e. Carpet, z bed, dog cage

Excellent work here pal, hats off to you. It is a real beauty.
Do you mind advising about the interior cab roof, how has the satin black paint lasted? Would you recommend, if so is it special plastic paint. Also how did you do the cab headlining, did you carpet over it or spray it? And one last one, did you do anything to that A pillar trims colour wise?

Thanks

My new Caddy is green but not quite so pepperminty, yours looks great though, I need to do a bit of work to get mine looking that good, previous owner had an argument with a gatepost and lost, nothing too major though. Wish me luck

Just sat and read through this whole thread. Amazing transformation, I hope I will be able to build mine to this standard.

What did you use for this Bean? etch primer and just basic paint?
I've used Wurth plastic dye on some bits in the caddy but it wipes off with cleaner or scratches easily.

Is this easy enough to remove?

Hi Phil, all I did was red scotch it up. Dusting of plastic primer and spray it with some satin black aerosol. Tbf it isn’t the most hard wearing but being up there, rarely gets nocked. Hope this helps.

You might need to prep better - I had a suzuki Van that I did the interior with the wurth stuff, and it lasted years. If cleaner dissolves it, it might be solvent based, which won't do the plastics any good anyway. Maybe your plastics have a build up of silicone or something else nasty???

Also made some brown shoes black with wurth, and they lasted years too :-)
