Ryan's 2010 Sportline

Post by Ryan »

Hi all

I have been a member on this forum just shy of a year now and have decided to start my thread for my caddy

This won't be the most extravagant build threads as I like my motors to look relatively standard but with little mods

So I bought a 2010 2.0tdi 140 PD Sportline from a dent business in Essex in March 2013. Completely standard and in great condition

It had a FVWSH, parking sensors the leather sportline seats, and only 52k on the clock

Image

I am a plumbing and heating engineer so the van will be used daily, but only for light work such as servicing, repairs etc.

So first on the agenda was to get it signwriten

Image

Then the 'rocket launcher' pipe tube added on, and I was happy with the outside, after a lot of time cleaning and polishing her up

Image

Image

Next on the agenda was to tackle some bits of the interior

Firstly the standard cluster

Image

Was replaced, courtesy of Doc with the highline cluster, cruise control and trip computer was added, with a midline control module

Image

Next was to replace the RCD310 with a RCD 510 and paired to a Bury hands free phone system

Image

Next a genuine chrome light switch installed, along with a touran leather gearstick and gaiter

Image

Image

After this I swapped some of the interior footwell plastics with dark ones, supplied by Josh. And installed a battery cover and bonnet insulation

Image

Image

Then this weekend I removed all the wheels, cleaned and painted the calipers, discs and dust shields to freshen them up.

Then I gave the stereo facia a lick of gloss black paint to add a better feel now the RCD510 is installed, great mod this is.

Image

And that's about it so far.

Getting my MK6 MFSW installed next sat by Doc . Then next on the agenda is to get my painter to spray the touran smooth side strips I got off here by Josh again. And get them fitted

As I said not the most exciting thread but I will get there slowly

Nice work looks very tidy and it is nice to have a bit of luxury in a work van after all I don't know about you but it is the thing I spend most of my time driving.

Thanks dude, and exactly that, it's the interior that needs sorting in the caddy's, nice and solid, but boring, so a little bit of chrome and black gloss sets it off nicely

Very nice.
The Touran side strips will finish it off nicely

Nice van, haven't seen it around, must keep my eyes peeled.

My FL caddy arrived Saturday. I'm having AP Automotive do some of them for me as they are only in Ketley. They retrofitted a lot of stuff on my Mk5 golf to :)

Hi pal, yes they are, the dials are backlit in blue too. I bought them off Doc, who said they were a mod, I will see Doc on Wednesday and see who did them for him, I think they were about £60 to colour code
