Winst !
Have u done anything g with the rear brakes or are they still std but painted.
And do u know if the fronts u have fitted have a larger pad area than the std pads please.

I was looking at fitting the s3 345 mm set up but when I saw how small the brake pad area was I decided not to bother.

I've heard that it's possible to fit 345 mm disks on the front and larger disks on the back by just changing the calliper carriers but not been able to find the part numbers yet.

Hi Ken, don't know exact measurements but yes the rs3/TTRS have a larger brake pad surface area bud, I would have thought the 345mm calipers would also have more brake pad surface area, plus with those rs3/TTRS calipers being 4 pot brake instead of the standard single pot, they have much more braking power, with excellent pedal feel (don't know why I sold them now... ).
As far as I know you have to purchase the complete 345mm set up, I believe the carriers are bigger than the standard caddy carrier. Pretty sure you can upgrade to golf gti brakes by just changing the carriers mate.

1 of my next jobs is to try and sort something out to upgrade the rear calipers/discs, not a straight forward job I'm guessing, as I have to think about wheel clearance due to having air ride, I cant fit rear spaces or the van won't tuck the wheels up into the arch, this maybe something I might have to sacrifice though,

Been on with doing a different boot install for the air tanks, subs and amps over the last few weeks, still got a few finishing touches to do, I found carpeting a lot easier to work with than alcantara  ;)

You should see my present wrapping skills mate, absolutely shocking....  Think I'm gonna leave the alcantara trimming to the experts in future, by the time I've done it 3 times it's cheaper to get it done by a pro

Still on with the rear brakes at the minute mate, trial and error with bracketrie, the fronts are on just require painting, I'll get them all painted at the same time.
