Wounder if the aerial cable is damaged and as you drive the disturbance knocks out the antenna. What I would try is to disconnect the antenna wire from the back see if it has a built in warning on the radio says antenna is disconnected if it does then I would assume it’s the wiring not the antenna. So might have to do a bit by bit diagnostic.

Really like the subtle mods you're doing to this. Keep up the good work!

Did you get the multi function buttons on the steering wheel to actually work?

There are a couple of stereo guy on here. Open a separate thread to ask the question. I bet your get the answer. Or for a £10 I’m sure your local stereo guy will have the answer straight away. Asking them I’m sure they will no. For me it sounds like you have a interference problem.

This thread is brilliant and terrible in equal measures! Excellent work on the Caddy, but I now want to do all of the mods to mine (I only brought it to carry bikes in)

Am pretty sure it does but I know the cruise control buttons are not straight forward. Doc would be the guy to ask about it.

Mk6 R doesn't have cruise control. It's a straight forward swap, look at Spacewalkers how-to for some useful guidelines.

Absolutely love the instrument cluster and wheel!! Was it a big job to get it coded up? Been thinking of doing the same upgrade

The wheel was real easy new swcm module needed and coded with vcds the cluster needed the immobiliser recoded along with the keys best left to someone like doc as it’s not that straight forward. Only problem with this wheel is it doesn’t light up which does annoy me lol. Might change it soon.
