It was all plug and play. No cutting wires or bodging anything. I could literally fit my old standard ones back in, plug them in and they'd work as normal if I ever wanted to.

They were custom made precisely to my spec, wiring inside the lamps was done, all I had to do was fit the ballasts and Bluetooth control module somewhere neat in the engine bay and plug them in.

I'm actually getting them further customised tomorrow :)

My Blackberry Caddy

Post by Barbel330 »

Spent the day at EM Tuning yesterday getting my headlights tweaked. We’ve added a second angel eye, honeycomb etched demon eye in the centre and a mini turbine shroud into the light now which I really like as it fills the empty hole that was sitting redundant before.

It’s almost impossible to photograph the headlights with a phone camera as you always get glare from the lenses, hence why I’ve photographed it in semi darkness under a railway arch. They look much better in the flesh.

Thanks for the info on the w8 dude. Nicely painted too btw ;)
The one I’ve seen on Ebay are brand new for £50, no PN on the listing so does make me wonder if they are a Chinese clone?! Did you get the additional loom too or splice it yourself?

Yes I bought the loom from Tommyzoom. No need to strip the A pillar trim off, I just routed the wire under the headlining around the top of the screen to the pillar trim, then pushed it through and grabbed it near the door rubber, then run it down to the dash side panel into the back of the light switch and connected the wire. Five minute job doing that part. The slightly harder part was cutting the holes out of the parcel shelf so the tabs on the light click home.

It didn't seem worth buying from the light from eBay for the sake of a tenner

Again, thanks for the info mate. Glad you don’t need to remove the a pillar as I’ve read they are a tw@t to get off / on!
Think you’re right too, for the sake of a tenner get the right one. Can’t believe I’m gonna pay £60 for the pleasure of two dimly lit red leds! But, it’s happening haha!
