I think the gains will be quite good. But I’ve altered so much I don’t think I will be able to tell which alteration has done what.
Hopefully it will all work well and as a package improve everything

Well it was 270 bhp before so would be nice to see 300. But even if it was not much more I have ready built it aiming for faster turbo spool and more low end torque and drivability

No it’s works exactly the same. Same plug same motor inside just it’s got a 10 mm larger butterfly valve so more flow
Didn’t have it running for long as I’m still waiting for the 2.5 inch pipe work to arrive that I’m using from the intercooler to the manifold.

Thanks. I can’t wait to get it back and see what the new engine drives like.
I’m kind of hoping it going to be great but I’m expecting it to not be as good as I want because I have fitted the larger exhaust turbine and a 52mm compressor wheel to the turbo. With the appropriate modified housings ofc.
I need to run the new engine in for a 1000 miles any way so if the spool up of the turbo is not as good as I’m looking for I will try making a tubular 4/2/1 manifold for the turbo, as I know that when I went from a std log manifold to a proper well designed tubular stainless manifold on my rs2000 it was worth 500rpm earlier on the spool up.

Same on my vxr it made a big difference better flow as the gases aren't backing up it's all the small things what make the difference.

Definitely. It’s been 3 and a half months.
As there is no time left I bought a pair of new std facelift headlights just to put in temporarily till I can get time to make the genuine xenon work.
I was expecting to have to re wire the loom sockets but the std lights just work.
So I’m wondering if with the kufatec adapter looms I bought would the xenon lights also just work and I have just wasted 200 quid on the std lights ☹️

They would kinda work, in that you could get the beams, DRLs etc. on, but no high beam and lights would point to a "safe" position down and to the left (on RHD). Fine for daytime driving, but a bit too dangerous for night time. How do I know? I was impatient and fitted the adapter, a few days before I fitted any of the additional modules etc. when I did the Xenon upgrade.

Oh that’s a bugger on the kufatec site it says that the adapter will operate the led lights the dip beam and the main beam shutter.
For the moment I have just bought a pair of std face lift caddy lights and plugged them into my 2007 caddy loom directly with no loom adapter and everything works as it should
So I was thinking that with the loom adapter it will be ok. Guess u already know it won’t be.
Have u got your working now
