Ken
Which milltek exhaust did you get ? The only one that I can see is for a 2ltr - correct me if I am wrong but isn't yours a 1.9ltr or do they just fit anyway ? Thanks in advance Mike

I think you will find that it's the same system as it joins on to the bottom of the cat pipe.
I have since made my own down pipe, added a large silencer right at the front just behind the lower down pipe mounts and added a further silencer with discrete exit at the back in order to gat it quiet enough for my likings. Hope that helps

Yes that helps so just need to order one and see the difference between maxi and standard

Thanks.
I think the maxi will need either a section adding in the middle or right at the end to make it longer but nothing too hard.

Done a few more tuning mods over the past couple of weeks and reconfigured the turbo with a 43mm BMW exhaust turbine. Still spools well and makes max boost at 2000 rpm. Definatly power runs through to 4500 rpm now so I think it's probably close to 280 bhp now.

No not on a lim slip diff. I keep the power limited in first and second gears so that the traction control can keep up lol

Still waiting on a date for the multilink suspension to be ready but I should have a dummy build shock from quantum next week. I'm hoping to be able to use a shock with 100 mm travel.
I have also decided to try and get the magic 300 bhp from my tune. I've already changed the exhaust turbine for a slightly larger one from a BMW 1 series. It's the same size as the 150 bhp arl golf one but the back of the blades is closed in instead of open which makes it a bit more efficient and aids spool.
