Thanks man, I think they were around £90 for front and back.

Think I’m going to have to cut some off the bottom of the fronts as they catch when turning, going up a slight incline and certain speed bumps

Finally had a little bit of spare time last night do made a start. Managed to get the camera into the light hole, had to swap the bulb holders over from the old to the new light, I had to file the rear door plastic housing to allow the wire through.

Jut got to solder the power and ground the correct wires and then find a suitable ground at the front.

I’ve had a nightmare trying to wire mine in, tried reverse light and rear wiper and can’t seem to get it to work. How did you wire yours up? Did you use a relay when wiring it into the light?

Lovely project! Very envious of your front bumper! Looks amazing!

No very similar to yours - as cable with power, camer av connector with bar and wart etc. Standard ones you get from eBay

Has your camera end got 2 plugs? And is there 2 different connectors? One will take the long wire that you run to the front and the second will have 2 wires red and black

The way I done mine was

At the rear go to the rear wiper motor and

1 the red wire, live, was soldered to pin 1
2 the black wire, earth, was soldered to pin 5
In your case run the cable to the front

At the head unit there should be a trigger wire marked. For this cut a bit off the top wire that is on top of the signal cable. Then on the cecm look for plug 3 pin 12. This will be black with a blue trace and solder your wire to this and put back in place. Then on the back of the head unit there should be a brown port for the yellow plug off the signal cable.

Once everything is connected and back in place start your engine, select reverse and the head unit will change to allow the camera picture

Brooneye's build

Today I had to do a bit of cutting of the front mud flaps.

Image

Every time I turned on a slight incline, went up a incline or over speed bumps it sounded like I was ripping the bottom of the van open with the mud flaps catching. The joys of being low Image

Finally had a chance to get one of the front mud flaps on a couple of days ago and it’s still pretty low

Image

Will run around with it like that just to make sure it doesn’t catch and I have to take a bit more off

Tonight I fitted the drivers front mud flap. I’ve ran one for a couple of weeks to check clearance and was happy there was no catching or scraping.

Also managed to fit a new engine cover bracket as one was missing and also the upper bolt, rubber and nut.

Had a very rare thing yesterday, a day off!!!

So I got cracking and knocked a few jobs off the list.

First was to change the headlights over as I purchased a set off Hutchy who is on here and has company that does lights Image. These also show no errors on the dash and can’t thank him enough as he has done a great job on what I wanted

Image

I know it’s not the best photo but will try to get one when it’s dark. These have double angel eyes as side lights, angel eye orange indicators and all painted black.

While the front bumper was off I also ran a loom for a screen wash sensor, followed a how to on here and made my own loom as well.

While I had the dash apart I also ran the wire for cruise control that I had purchased earlier this year off Tommyzoom Image

I now have to get these coded.

I’ve also been reading about the heated washer jets, would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a how to or have the info on what’s needed and how to make the loom? I’ve spent best part of last night searching and reading various topics but seem to come up empty handed

I do love a set of custom headlights. Think mine look so old fashioned now. Might have to have a look at a update. One thing your notice is the light at night. What a difference.
