Not got much done lately as been unbelievably busy with work, but tonight I did manage to fit the new speakers I bought a while ago.
I opted for the vibe slick series 2 as I have the vibe slick series already in.
New vs old
They sound a lot better compared to the old ones, just got to play around with them now.
Also managed to get the mfsw buttons working with the help of the control pro unit. I now have to find a new set of buttons for the volume side

Just scored what I think is a bargain. Paid £19 for some volume control buttons from a breakers, there was a set on eBay with the same missing trim bit for £80

Yesterday managed to do a few little jobs first up was to replace the damaged left hand mfsw buttons
Secondly changed my clocks over for the 2014 style. A massive thanks to Doc for taking the time sorting these out for me and I have to say they are a massive improvement. Also it’s great to have a finished dash after nearly a year as I thought it was pointless putting the painted trim back on only to have to keep removing it.
A quick question for people with these style clocks, is the oil light meant to flash on three separate occasions after starting?

What's the difference between your old and new clocks? Mine are like yours I think. Never noticed the oil light flash but I'll check next time I start it.

Nice to see the instrument cluster finally fitted, brings the cabin up a few years with the more modern look over the old red display.
Which oil light have you got flashing? Is it on the centre display?

Doc thanks again for all your help. Been out of action for a while that’s why it’s took so long to get it switched over and it definitely looks much better.
It’s the oil light on the centre display. As I said it’ll flash a few times go off then flash like this a further two times and then stop. The oil temperature rises and I’ve checked the oil level.
Haven’t checked on VCDS, that’ll be me next job.

I’ve been today to see if there is any faults showing and after clearing a few the oil level sensor is still showing.
After speaking to the guy he seems to think it could be possible that the wire is damaged rather than the sensor.
He also thought it could possibly down to something as simple as a pin needing swapping around.
My question, More aimed in Docs direction, does a pin need swapping around and if so which one? I’ve tried searching but nothing is coming up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've never seen it where a pin needs swapped.

So it's the "Oil Level Thermal Sensor" fault that kept coming back?
