Brooneye's build
Managed to do a bit more today.
Phase 2
Changed the handbrake to a leather one that I had recovered with the grey top stitch
And also managed to get the frame for the armrest in
Just need to make a trip to Vw to get the insert and a couple of the round covers and pick up the arm rest cover from the trimmers
Doc you were right there is a guide in the how to for removing bonnet release, thanks again

Re: Brooneye's build
Went to a breakers yesterday as I was missing the panel trims at the very front of the centre console and a couple of clips. While I was there I managed to pick up a golf 5 speed gear knob all for £10
Hopefully get some time to get the rest of the dark plastics in over the weekend

Re: Brooneye's build
Dropped the gear gaiter off at the trimmers to have it done to match the hand brake
Was looking rather tatty
Also managed to collect this box of goodies from VW so I can finish my arm rest
In was 1 bolt, 2 nuts, 2 covers, the storage compartment and a cover for inside the compartment. As my head unit has a sub cable I ran this under the console and had to do a bit of modifying to get the cable out inside the compartment
Been told the gaiter and the lid for the armrest will be ready the backend of next week

Re: Brooneye's build
Got a bit of time yesterday to finally fit the arm rest lid and gear gaiter. While fitting the gaiter I swapped the gear knob for a golf one that I picked up a couple of weeks ago
I also got a call from the painters to say the bits I'd dropped off were ready so I fitted this
Also ready was the side rail cover, but I totally forgot about the bracket so order one from RAD. Once that's been delivered and got a bit of time I will fit that

Looking great mate the trim being black looks cool. How hard is the touran centre console to fit?

Re: Brooneye's build
Picked these up on Friday after work and got cracking over the weekend
Got them drilled and decided to carpet them instead of painting but ran out of glue do will carry on tomorrow, this is how they are at the moment
Once I get the others finished they will be ready for the seats to go in

Brooneye's build
Had a bit of a productive day on Saturday, finally managed to run the wiring for the electric windows but haven't put the new regulators in yet.
Also managed to get the passenger front seat in
Not happy with the height of it as it's on some square tubing as I was far too low, do off to pick some touran seat bases up later.
Also managed to strip the touran door card down as the metal strip was damaged
They have been sent off with the sliding door handle to be sprayed gloss black and also managed to clean the door cards as they were filthy
Also ordered a new passenger grab handle and electric window switch and drivers side electric two button switch and housing along with all the service parts as the light came on
Also realised I'd made a mistake as these don't fit from a touran
So ordered the correct ones
