Cracking project - same base as mine
Really inspired me a lot,
Sorry if this is a common asked thing
Do you have he part numbers for the mk4 rear lights? I would pm you, but can’t do that yet
Apart from the pin swap i’ve seen has to be done,
Was anything else needed as some say you need a resistor, some day extra wiring between the two lights etc

Re: Natural grey caddy build
Part numbers for the rear lights are in the “useful part numbers” thread.
You don’t need any resistors or anything all dash lights can be coded out using vcds. I had doc code mine for me.

Re: Natural grey caddy build
Had some time today to get some little jobs done on the van
Fitted Audi R8 coolant and oil cap also a black washer bottle cap.
Also changed the fuel filter with a genuine part and painted the cap as it was looking scruffy and replaced the bolts the same time making note whet all the hoses went!
Before
After
Also finished putting my trimmed headlining, pillar trims back in and blacked out the appropriate parts to suite.
Had to take bulkhead out to make getting the pillar trims back in easier
Was difficult to get pics of the headlining once fitted.
That’s it for now got more mods coming once I get time to do them.

Re: Natural grey caddy build
Over head storage is sprayed and I covered the pillars the same as headlining using 3mm foam backed black headlining material, it’s supposed to be the same stuff Audi use.
The parcel shelf would be a nightmare to do without any creases

Re: Natural grey caddy build
Few updates but no pics at the moment will get pics up shortly...
Firstly I’ve fully resprayed the 2 sides (only due to a few little dings and slight crease in the wing so was a better job just to paint the full side. Have also fitted brand new bonnet, Touran bumper
(my old GTI one will be for sale) and new top tint screen.
Next I’ve had some head lights built by em tuning who have done a awesome job on them and can’t recommend enough! huge improvement over stock units using genuine Touran lights with hella g5 projectors and first in the uk using the new profile high lens led projectors
Pics to follow!

Re: Natural grey caddy build
Got my gear box now as well
Pd170 long ratio box with peloquin lsd, all steel selector forks, 4th gear support, input shaft mod and compbrake shifter, also painted it all black.
This should be bombproof, but still unsure on what clutch I’m going to fit might be a helix 6 paddle on dual mass flywheel?
