Iv'e not posted on here for a while and just noticed all of my pictures have stopped working. :(

I think it's because I sorted out my photobucket so if anyone knows how I can get them back working without too much hassle then I'll get them sorted.

Anyway, here is what's been happening with the Caddy...

It now has the SRS / Only Charged Dubs 4 link rear suspension kits on the rear end which does away with the ancient leaf springs, I don't have any decent pictures of it actually on the van so thought these would be better.

This kit allows you to run either Coilovers or Air which I believe is a 1st, all other kits that have been designed have been made with air ride in mind but with this kit you can use either. Obviously mine has the coilovers on it.

Also, after getting this fitted I could finally get my adapters made for the BBS centrelocks that I've had for a while. They're not the best pictures but they're all I have on the computer at the minute.

Here are the adapters for them too which we can make to order

Nice looking kit that and plenty of adjustment by the looks of it.

Who do you buy it from and whats the price for them?.

There is lots of adjustment in the kit so you can set it up exactly as you want.

Here are the prices:

4 Link kit ONLY: £1625

4 Link kit with Scale rear coilovers : £2335

Complete kit with Scale coilovers front & rear inc adjustable top mounts: £3025

There is also the option of using this kit with Air ride which Only Charged Dubs can help you with.

You can contact me for any more info on the kit as well as Matt @ Only charged dubs

They're pretty fancy, here is their website;

I'm currently looking for a cheaper option for customers but don't want cheap to become poor quality.

Been doing some more on the Caddy ready for GTI International this coming weekend.

I'm planning on doing a few laps in it so though it was a good idea to get more cold air in to the rad & intercooler and also let some heat out.

We've cut the slam panel & bumper to get air in & raised the bonnet to let heat out.

I was hoping to get an alloy rad in there too but it doesn't look like this will be here in time unfortunately.

Oh, and we've taken the engine out ready for another slightly worked on BKD which should be going back in over the next few days.

I'm just waiting for my track wheels to arrive then I can get the tyres fitted and we're ready to go :)

Not posted on here for a while so thought I would give a little update.

After lending the van out and it being driven with no coolant in (Don't ask), it is now sitting like this

Image
Image
Image

As it's been off the road Iv'e been driving all sorts of stuff and have been getting fond on the DSG gearbox, so this got me thinking... While everything is out why not do a DSG conversion? After speaking to Ryan at Darkside plans got well out of hand and I ended up buying a donor vehicle shortly afterwards.

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Now it's having a fully built 2.0 CR engine with 7 speed DSG 4 motion gearbox fitted. Iv'e also booked it in at Slide Motorsport for a rollcage making and the S3 rear axle is going to be mounted to this. We're not going mad with the cage as it will still be daily driver but when a well suited track day comes around then we shouldn't have to hold back.

The donor Tiguan has been run up on the dyno to check everything is healthy which it does seem to be.

Image
Image

Once we have some more time the conversion will be getting started, the plan is to get the standard engine / gearbox in and running then once we're happy with it, take it back out and swap it for the built engine with big turbo etc. and start doing some software development.

Keep any eye on both the Darkside & SRS facebook page as the updates will be on there before anywhere else but I'll try and update this as often as possible for anyone who is interested.

I have a few more updates on the Caddy, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Everything is working pretty well but it has a few lights on the dash due to no rear speed sensors etc. until the 4wd rear end is fitted.

It's now doing daily duties with minimal interior as we're not too far away from the next stage.

I'll get some more updates asap.
