Very nice this Caddy ... I find it pity that VW does not leave good rear-view mirrors on the new models (big as those of the 2K)
On the other hand, the color is superb ... Really

My new Caddy 4 build thread
Nothing spectacular but Finally found few spare hours to do couple of bits...
Webasto installation completed and appropriate sticker applied to fuel flap and also need one for engine bay when I get a chance to clean it Big thanks to fellow caddy owner from Norway for showing me the exact location for these
Fitted reflective strips on sliding door and barn doors. Not too happy on sliding door as there isn't straight line, any ideas?
Also finally managed to edit the door controller eeprom to get the mirrors to fold with the remote. The default value was set for around 2secs so that's how long you would have to hold lock button in order to fold. I've managed to change it to under a second so it's just perfect now as one press locks whole car and fraction longer will fold them as well. They unfold with key in ignition.
Few more exciting upgrades on the way

Stan, was it easy to edit door controller as would love this feature on mine, got VCDS
Caddy 4 150 DSG Viper Green, AirLift Performance, Alltrack Body Kit, 19" SPF Rotiforms & 20" Vossen CVT, 5 seat conversion, full interior re-trim in Napa & Alcantara with green stitching and a sprinkling of Custom Car Audio.

Re: My new Caddy 4 build thread
It's not that difficult as long as you won't venture into unknown and start changing random things. Unfortunately vcds won't do it matey. You need to read eeprom via programmer or someone with Vag Can Pro can do it via obd port.

Lowered
Webasto panel in
Got the touran consoles carpeted black as the plastic ones mark so easily and look poo.
Leather armrest fitted. I think it suits being leather and seats being cloth.

Re: My new Caddy 4 build thread
Very nice indeed.
For the side door, I think I'd trim the tape to follow the line of the door, (might need wider tape though to allow being cut in a curve)

hi Stan
try CAD template ( Cardboard Aided Design) for your stickers on the doors.

Re: My new Caddy 4 build thread
Working on the oem style smaller mirror puddle lights install at the moment.
Have parts ordered but not sure which one is the winner yet.
New Touran 5T style:
Or new Tiguan style:
I actually like the Tiguan one a lot.
Will be clearer once I get the both type light units so I can compare size etc. There isn't a lot of room inside the mirror but hopefully it will be enough.
Stay tuned!
