Re: My new Caddy 4 build thread
Seat heating as the heated wheel works based on resistance. You will need to run a wire from drivers side seat plug and ground at the column.
You need to get mqb slipring from a car with heated wheel as it will have additional connection on spinning section for it.
Pic above is mine already done but you can see the extra plug connection on the lower left. That’s where the wheel plugs in.
Basically once you take apart the MQB slipring you will be using the front spinning plate + the surround cover + internal tape that’s inside it and install it into your slipring.
I will probably make a new thread about it with some pics for people to understand how I done it

Awesome job! Wouldn’t mind a heated wheel.

I keep thinking about this mod every morning when I try to peel my frozen hands from the steering wheel.

Re: My new Caddy 4 build thread
Hi Tom I’ll post the coding later on for ya. I think you’ll need to get it calibrated as well. Not sure if it’s that straight forward to fit the ACC as I think it could be part of component protection so requires dealer tools

Re: My new Caddy 4 build thread
Thanks very much for the reply, was hoping vagcan pro could help me but I could ask the dealer to do it then for me. Sorry but on the folding mirrors is that straight forward to adjust the delay when I press the button it takes a few seconds to retract once I press lock button thanks.

Re: My new Caddy 4 build thread
My ACC coding is:
00001000FE0339
Regarding the delay...
I’m not gonna be held responsible if something goes wrong
09 central electrics
Security access
Login
Engineering mode
Up/download
Navigate to 1120,1121,1122
where first two numbers should be “14”
So 14XX 14XX 14XX
Change all three 14s to:
01 or 02 or 03 which stands for 0.1sec or 0.2 sec or 0.3 sec and so on.
01 is useless and possibly 02 might be too as this will also affect your windows opening closing so might make your windows go down a bit once you unlock the car.
Hope that helps!

Kind regards tom.

Thanks lads!
The camera is this one:

The footage quality is spot on in my opinion.
