Looking a bit healthier today with the side strips back on! Also added the genuine sportline spoiler!

Awaiting news on the rail covers!

OEM+ Caddy Maxi Camper/ Day Van Build

So, couple of updates, rail covers all fitted (no decent pics) but did get a couple on a job on the weekend where I took her off roading

Also, decided I would fit some A3 vents to tidy up the inside.. the how to on here makes it out to be an easy job! But I couldn't leave them like that.. if people would like I will do a how to for the A3 vents (being fussy)

Dry fit on the vents

Old surrounds off

Old surrounds cut

Old surrounds glued to new

But, this is where I realised there were small gaps everywhere!
Couldn't have it looking like I've cut and pasted vents in so decided to take it a step further and roll without vents for a week(ish)
Epoxy resin

Sanded

Filled

Sanded

Primed (will do several coats, writing this inbetween)
Image
Personally I think it looks much better than leaving it as two surrounds glued and suits the OEM+ look I am going for...

They are a night mare to fit properly with no gaps and backs all ducted up properly. Still haven't finished mine but think they look much better when done right!

If you flip them upside down and flip all the internal components the ducts line up with the originals and they work as normal!

I couldn't leave them just glued it would have looked terrible!

Ahh crap, didn't think of that flipped them over and they lined up but vents didn't point down enough. Still got to finish them.

Awesome van youve got there, the rear lights are great and the spolier. Nice one

Hi Guys, been quiet in the modding front (busy with drone business) but I'm going to start my bumper build over winter... haven't seen this done before. What do you guys think?

Its not the easiest of bumpers to construct as the C63 has a very pointed front end. It would be good to see one finished.

Not been much going on with the build, got the ___ and caddy bumpers to start manipulating but it's just finding the time.

Check out the TTS seats that I have fitted this week!

Anybody know how to wire up the heater elements?
