I have been looking for same steering wheel for my 06 plate caddy. What is it and do the controls on the steering wheel work for the CD player

Because I've got an aftermarket stereo it doesn't work.. BUT! All I'd need is the correct loom and it should be fine to do so, so I'd imagine with a standard stereo, or atleast an OEM upgrade it'd be fine. Doc said that all the buttons were responding, albeit not controlling anything yet, but they were communicating with his laptop appropriately.

So technically speaking I could put any steering wheel in mine and it should work strait away. Would be so much easier for volume control. I don't have and laptop software but sure I could meet up with someone on here to sort it out

Theoretically yes, but the best person to ask would be Doc, I had to fit an updated/upgraded steering wheel module. Dependant on the age of the wheel you go for you might have to too..

So I said I'd get some photos of the rear setup, finally got round to doing it last night. Sold part of my coilovers yesterday to a Mr.BenHolmes21 Image. But I was still using the axle flip kit and the KW rear hangers. So as I was swapping the hangers for standard I remembered to take a few snaps.

Just so you've got a rough idea on how it operates etc. Dead simple to fit, the worst part was re-centring the rear axle (Image argh shoot me in the face)

But yeah, so that's done now, out the way..
I forgot to mention though, the lively man himself, Mr.Doc, also turned on my US spec running lights and my new rear sticker came in the post! That went straight on.. Image so enjoy these pictures too..

Hi bud, love the van on the mercs!
With your us running lights are they on all the time or with lights, had them on my a3 but had to be with sidelights?

Nah they're only on with lights boss. I don't think they're are many other ways of coding them in tbh? If you did want them all the time I'd suggest a physical mod. Throw an amber 501 bulb in the and put it on a switch? Only disadvantage is you've got no control on the brightness of the light.

Sorry to bump an old thread.
Did you run a set of of 4 alphards fronts? I.e all 8.5j not the usual 9.5j rears?
