OK. i got the suspension dialed in now.

I have to rebuild the exhaust and floor abit to get it lower now. Maybe another 20mm lower in the back is possible.

Has been lowered approx 70mm in the back and 40mm in the front now. No rubbing or issues yet.

And people say you cant lower a 4 motion! bullshit! it can be lowered. (just not slammed).

Now its mirrors, bumpers and side skirts that need to go on.
I have also placed a bid on some brakes, but we will see what happens. (whould look awesome i think!)

Hi

Thanks. I am liking the car more and more as the modifications go on.
they are a hybrid of TTRS discs and Lamborghini 8 piston calipers. used prices vary from 1000-4000 GBP on ebay. these are front and back and only used 2000miles. We will see if he wants to sell them or not.

Many use TTRS calipers. They are a little smaller and 6 piston i think. But still look great!.

I run 6 piston Brembo Gran turisimos on my M3 and they work great!(4 piston in the back)

On my daily driver BMW F31 Wagon i Am running the Mperformance brakes (4 piston front 370mm, and 2 piston rear 340mm). Yes i like brakes.hehe. Sorry for all the non Caddy talk.

Hi mate wondering how your bumpers are coming along and whether you managed to acquire that lovely Lamborghini brake set. If you bought them could you post some pics of how they look and what mods were needed!

Also following on from Doc's advice on who made snd fitted my Gti mk7 bumper. This is the info for anyone reading this thread. He's a guy called Simon and he is called Procad. His user name on the forum is @barty71 but I think he is also under Pro-Cad on the tapatalk app. I also have his permission to share his contact number as [DO NOT CONTACT THIS GUY] and his new email as [DO NOT CONTACT THIS GUY]. He has worked on several prestigious cars for me over the years and has a great reputation locally before he set up himself. All I can do is post my personal enquiries into my mods so here goes. I had a price from Reflex Auto Design in Daventry for £1200 plus vat where I had to supply the Gti bumper. They were recommended as providing a top class service and sounded very helpful when I contacted them. However in the meantime Simon at procad had set up and made a set of mirrors for me that bolt straight on the VW door and the parts are genuine vag. He was also able to code the mirrors with a laptop to activate the indicator flasher on the mirror etc. Others selling these advised drilling holes and hard wiring which put me off. He then told me he was working on a mk7 bumper which he fitted to my Caddy. The finish is spot on and I can recommend his work as I am very particular about my vehicles. He is also fitting another mk7 front bumper for my other pure grey tailgate Caddy and also a de badged and handle less tailgate and gti rear bumper. Here are some recent photosImageImageImage

Great progress mate! May I ask the part number for the engine cover? And also did you need to buy 2 pins for the cover to mount

Hi

Bumpers should be delivered tomorrow hopefully. Lambo brakes have not replied to my latest offer so i am afraid thats a no.

I might have to look for some other brakes instead.

partnr : 04L103925Q

You do need the two pins to fasten the engine cover in the bottom. i have not got these yet and have only used the top two pins.
